Tips For Rosacea Treatment

Rosacea is a skin condition that so far has no cure. Many people all over the world suffer from rosacea, myself included. Once actually diagnosing, which is very difficult to do, there are several options for rosacea treatment that can be tested and tried. Because there is no cure, it is difficult to predict how the treatment options will affect each person.

Rosacea basically looks like severe redness in the skin. Cases left untreated can result in nubs growing in infected areas and pores widening. People have had rosacea for years and did not learn of any rosacea treatment before it became very severe.

A basic approach for rosacea treatment is to go see a dermatologist. Again, since there is no cure, the dermatologist may ask you what kind of foods you eat and what kind of beverages you drink. It has been recommended that staying away from spicy foods, chocolate and citrus can help rosacea symptoms deplete. Also, extreme weather can really flare up rosacea. Very cold or very hot weather can affect the skin and a lot of the redness may surface.

Some rosacea treatment options include using a soothing organic cooling mask with a base ingredient of avocado, for example. When applied to the face, the cooling affect helps calm the skin and the redness will go down.

When practicing rosacea treatment, it is common to experience acne complications. This is because a lot of the creams or oils that may be recommended might also clog pores and result in breakouts.

Another idea for rosacea treatment involves holistic medicine approaches, or acupuncture. Since a lot of rosacea flare-ups are caused by stress, acupuncture helps tone them down. After the acupuncturist goes through a long discussion about your skin’s history, he or she will then insert needles while you are lying face up or face down on a table. The needles help unclog passages and help the blood circulate, as it should. Because of this, much of your body’s tension is released and you become more relaxed. When you are more relaxed, the skin is not as prone to redness.

Also, the acupuncturist or healer may recommend a series of oils to apply to the skin before going to sleep. Some of these oils include: tea tree oil, grape seed oil or jojoba oil, all calming and does not clog pores.

Some may find themselves going through rosacea treatment for the rest of their lives because there is no cure. However, if you can indicate the root of the problem, you can begin healing from the inside out.
